Presenting a gorgeous Belgian Art Deco ceramic vase by Cerabelga.
Very rare Art Deco piece by a very sought after maker from this Era or Period.
This is a medium sized ceramic vase with beautiful hand decorated/painted flowers of maroon and pink on a yellow background with gold gilded accents. The interior is a turquoise color with is then replicated on the exterior base decoration with cobalt blue.
It is Classic Art Deco style and design and was made circa 1925 in Belgium.
Fully and properly marked on the base “Cerabelga” … “Made in Belgium” … “F. 90 O. 5012' with the initials “A.K.”
Cerabelga produced these pieces in the late 1920s, contributing to the legacy of Belgian pottery that was the epitome of Deco design and technique between 1920 and 1940. Along with Boch pottery by Raymond Chevalier and Charles Catteau, Faiencerie Thulin and Roger Guerin with a contribution by the Dutch company Gouda and the French designs of Longwy, Cerabelga was able to employ the historic techniques of ceramic production while capturing the wave of interest in Art Nouveau and Art Deco design.
