Description
A Colonial coromandel wood box with fine and intricate hardwood inlay on all sides of various forms including pinstripe, candy cane, star and leaves with the central inlay depicting a fort on an island. Fully-fitted satinwood interior including nine-lidded compartments, two-pin cushions and removable tray. Turned ebony knobs, working lock and key. A hand French polish brings out the contrasting colored marquetry and exquisite grain of this fine box.
