This unique and sophisticated Pair of Mid-Century Modernist Stacked Scroll form Andirons in Brass & Bronze W/ Faux Bois Textural Detailing by Donald Deskey for Bennet originates from the United States, Circa 1950. They feature a stacked composition in a combination of brass and bronze elements. Two horizontally oriented scroll form brass pieces are placed between three rectangular bronze pieces. The brass is polished and sculptural, while the bronze has a deep and alluring finish with a faux bois texture resembling the surface of bark. Highly characteristic of the work of Donald Deskey, a pioneer of Art Deco and Mid-Century design, these andirons will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Art Deco to Mid-Century Modernist and Contemporary Interiors.
