Mahogany sculptural globe stand supported by brass sabots originally designed by Edward Wormley for Dunbar in 1953. The globe itself is a 16" Rand McNally Terrestrial globe composed of paper gores over glass with a brass meridian. Its estimated date of production is between 1958 and 1959 (United Arab Republic, Ghana, and French North Africa are all present).
Very good, vintage condition with light soiling / small spots of paper loss to the globe itself, tarnish to the unpolished brass meridian and feet and light wear to the newly refinished mahogany, as shown.
