-
Description
This early 19th century Italian altar is made of worn painted wood and worn fabric details. This is a highly decorative altar for the unknown Catholic saint carved in the center; designated by his upward pointing finger, wings, and attachment where a halo used to sit above his head. The doored cavity is framed by a painted carving of flowers and leaves and sits on a square base with painted details. This is an incredibly unique piece, make sure to view the detailed images to get a closer look.
