Probably New England or New York, ca. 1875-1890.
Turned wood, paint decorated.
Untouched original condition, original paint with some losses.
(Contemporary base).
This finely turned, bold in design yet delicate, barber pole trade sign is adorned with an acorn finial above a red, white and blue painted body. The remarkable survivor in untouched condition. -
