French 19th Century Barometer
-
Description
French 19th painted and gold gilt barometer and thermometer. It is a recognizable ‘banjo’ shaped scientific instrument with all the carved details in gold gilt and the background is painted a sage green. The circular face has painted numbers and lettering behind glass for reading the barometer. There is also a painted scale on the face of the thermometer. Although it no longer works for taking measurements, it’s a great decorative piece. Make sure to view the detailed images to get a closer look at the beautiful details.
