A French Napoléon III period walnut carved putto sculpture from the mid 19th century, with grapes, flowers and the double flute. Created in France during the third quarter of the 19th century, this carved walnut sculpture depicts a putto draped with grapes and flowers, carrying a vessel on his head. Perhaps accompanying Bacchus, god of the grape harvest, the putto is standing on an inverted shell base, adorned with lucious foliage and the double flute.
