French Wall Mounted Wine Bottle Drying Rack
-
Description
Dimensions: 53-3/4″H x 39-3/8″W x 2-1/2″D
With space for 100 bottles, this antique, red-painted rack was used for drying wine bottles. Glass was once quite expensive to produce, therefore the French have been recycling it for centuries. Racks like these enabled them to dry the insides of the bottles, which can be tricky and time consuming. Use it as a way to store and recall your favorite bottles from the past, or simply leave it empty as an art installation: there are abundant uses for this interesting piece of viticulture. -
