-
Description
Beautiful 60cm high woodcarving of Diane with an antilope by Geneviève Granger (1877-1967.) Typical Art Deco style of the 1925-1930.
Signed "G Granger" on the base, workshop stamp below the base: "SAS Made in France", numbered "6" below the base.
Old original exhibition stickers below the base in particular a "DIM" one. DIM (Décoration Intérieure Moderne) was a famous luxury decoration workshop and gallery in the 1920s-1930s which organized a woodcarving exhibition in 1929 and it is probable that this sculpture was exhibited there alongside Jacques Adent sculptures. - More Information
