Description
Now thirty, Sabattini moved from Blevio to Milan, where he found a small laboratory with all the essential tools of his craft. His contacts with “Domus” became more frequent. This began a long friendship marked by several fundamental landmarks: the Milan Triennali, the Venice Biennale, the pubblication of his works, and a one-man exhibition both in Italy and abroad.
Lino Sabattini often mentions his very first encounter with Gio’ Ponti, and loves to remember these words from “his master”:
“Never fool yourself, be always who you are, anytime. And don’t be afraid to make a mistake, because errors are necessary and teach you something new everytime”
This sculpture, titled "La Luna Strega" was produced in 1978, the piece is original in all its parts and it reports the signature of the authors and the year of producstion, as shown in photo.
The surface could be polished under request. -
