Now thirty, Sabattini moved from Blevio to Milan, where he found a small laboratory with all the essential tools of his Craft. His contacts with “Domus” became more frequent. This began a long friendship marked by several fundamental landmarks: the Milan Triennali, the Venice Biennale, the pubblication of his works, and a one-man exhibition both in Italy and abroad.
Lino Sabattini often mentions his very first encounter with Gio’ Ponti, and loves to remember these words from “his master”:
“Never fool yourself, be always who you are, anytime. And don’t be afraid to make a mistake, because errors are necessary and teach you something new everytime”
