Victorian sterling silver trophy cup. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1885.Curved bowl with flared mouth rim and twisted half lobing on domed and wavy foot; cast irregular side handles with leaf-wrapped fish and wispy tendril mounts. Acid-etched frieze depicting, on one side, hounds and horses setting off for the hunt; on the other, they’re in full gallop. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, date symbol, and no. 80. Very good condition with strong definition.
