Victorian Classical sterling silver jewelry box. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1897. Oval with hinged cover. Chased leafing scrollwork, flowers, and scallop shells. Beaded and guilloche borders. Cover top has central oval (vacant). Velvet lining with fitted ring holder. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, date symbol, and no. 135. Very good condition.
