Pair of beautiful Art Nouveau Martelé silver candlesticks. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1916. Each: Bellied socket on fluted baluster shaft; domed foot. Irregular and wavy bobeche and foot rims. Chased tendrils with veined leaves and loose flowerheads—ephemeral nature memorialized in substantial precious metal. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and code H/RL. Very good condition.
