Large Impressive Italian Stoneware Vase by Guido Gambone
-
Description
A tall striking stoneware bottle vase by Guido Gambone, Italy, circa 1950-60s. The vase features a round robust body that extends into a long neck with open mouth, a form that is classic but modern, rustic and also elegant all at the same time. The surface is covered in a visually arresting red volcanic glaze with blue geometrical patterns on both sides. The bold contrast of the colors and modernistic motifs make this vase one of the most beautiful Gambone pieces we have seen. Signed on the bottom as shown.
