Description
Victorian sterling silver toast rack. Made by Henry Wilkinson in Sheffield in 1840. Open rectilinear frame with central stretcher and curved corners; applied leaves and scrolls and corner scroll supports. Seven double hoops and open leaf-wrapped handle mounted to stretcher center. Holds six Dickensian-thin slices. A fancy piece for the breakfast table. Fully marked. Very good condition.
