Description
An Iznik wine bottle, Turkey, 16th/17th century. Formerly thought of a cane ware now thought of as unglazed Iznik pottery, Collected in Constantinople about 1900. We love this pieces elegant shape and the subtle bulge near the base. In this undecorated bottle it is easy to see why this group of ceramics is so prized.
