Description
Unusual form emulating rough pottery with a faux drip glaze (slightly verdigris). Beautifully executed swirl design on the bottom. Made by famous tsuba maker "Shumei", Kono Haruaki (1787-1860), student of Yanagawa Naoharu. In 1830 he was awarded title Hogen by Tokugawa Shogunate.
