Modernist Spotted Stalking Leopard in Frosted Crystal Signed by Lalique
-
Description
This elegant modernist frosted crystal leopard was realized in France by the legendary maker Lalique, circa 1980. It depicts a hunting panther, crawling low to the ground on all fours, apparently in the midst of stalking its prey. Realized in frosted crystal, it offers a wealth of incised "spots" artfully recreating the hide pattern of this regal feline creature in monochrome. With its clean modernist lines, superlative quality (created by one of the most fabled crystal and luxury object makers in history), and distilled form, this piece promises to add more than a touch of elegance to any surface that it graces. It is signed by Lalique and is in excellent vintage condition.
