Large 1920s Glass Pillar with Delicate Floral Engravings
-
Description
Beautiful Art Nouveau Glass Pillar that has been part of a world''s fair and later part of the impressive fabric building of the Osterholzer Reiswerke. The latter eventually was taken over by the U.S. Kellogg Company in the post-war years after its heydey around the fin-de-siècle. Considering its age and origin the pillar is in a very good vintage condition with only minor signs of use and a beautiful patina. The removable top is adorned by a delicate floral pattern and hence stresses the elegant overall impression of the pillar.
