A large scale Chinese ancestral shrine, 57″ tall, with gilt and lacquer, circa 1880. Rich deep red lacquer with gilded accents. Modeled after and important shrine or temple. We love the elegant detailed architecture of this piece. It is more sculpture / object than anything else. You can certainly use it for meditation or as an ancestral shrine. Wonderful focal point for a large space that needs an interesting and unexpected piece.
