Large Swedish 1910s Freestanding Terrestrial Globe on Black Carved Base
-
Description
A large Swedish freestanding terrestrial globe from the early 20th century, on triangular carved base. Created in Sweden during the first decade of the 20th century, this globe attracts our attention with its large proportions and complimenting colors. Raised on a black carved base with curving accents and triangular plinth, the globe is marked 'Svenska Bokhandels centralens Glob' in its lower section, meaning that it used to be the property of the Swedish Bookstore Central. Freestanding, this large Swedish globe circa 1910 will make for a great addition to any living room or study!
