Large Turned and Carved Mortar and Pestle
Probably English, second half of the 18th c.
Lignum Vitae.
Excellent condition, expected wear from age and use.
In an impressive size, this mortar and pestle has wonderful figuring to the dense lignum vitae. Appears to retain the original pestle.
Dimensions: 9 ¾” h. (mortar), 7 ¾” dia.
