American Art Deco Machine Age Log Holder in Chrome & Copper by Leslie Beaton
-
Description
This iconic American streamlined Machine Age Art Deco design- often misattributed to Norman Bel Geddes- was designed by Leslie Beaton for the Revere Copper and Chrome Company circa 1935. The belly of the holder is composed of a curved sheet of copper, encircled by two chrome-plated circular tubes. It rests on four chromed ball feet. The top handle is realized in satin black lacquered wood. With its clean curvilinear lines and dynamic juxtaposition of metallic tones, this log holder would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Deco to contemporary. Excellent vintage condition.
