Description
Hand built of coil construction. Coil construction is a method of hand-building pottery, where a potter forms a base and walls, by rolling the clay into coils, stacking them together, then joining the coils through pressure, creating a vessel. Provenance: Purchased from Barry Sainsbury Oriental Art in London, 1991.
