Description
A Loetz Cobalt Papillon Art Glass and Pewter Art Nouveau Vase. Circa 1900
The shapely design with flared base having four evenly spaced indentations below sloping sides rising to a swollen top crimped into six lobes, all finished in blue 'Pappillon' technique on cobalt blue glass and enclosed in a pewter frame of Art Nouveau influence leaf motif frame.
Stamped with the hallmarks of the Austrian firm of J. Van Houten.
