Louis XVI Neoclassical Sterling Silver Patch or Snuff Box
-
Description
This a beautifully designed and finely crafted Neoclassical Louis XVI patch box. The finely cast lid encircles a basket of flowers surrounded by a floral chain. The body of the box is beautifully detailed with various French Neoclassical symbols, including a laurel wreath and musical cartouche. The bottom of the box has four hallmarks. This petit box is crafted in heavy sterling silver and is in overall very good condition. The hinge is strong and the lid snaps tightly. This would make a wonderful Christmas or Hanukah gift for the collector of silver boxes or table decorations. Additionally, the box would make a unique and fitting engagement ring presentation box.
****In addition to this sterling patch box, MJH Design Arts has a collection of high quality sterling patch and snuff boxes in inventory. Please contact us for photos and descriptions of these sterling pieces. -
