2015 Italian Yellow Blue Brown Crystal Murano Glass Boat Modernist Art Sculpture

A sailing boat, a modern Art sculpture in overlaid Murano glass, signed piece, blown by Luigi Moro, custom made at Vetrerie Riunite Colleoni on the Murano island, worked with the difficult technique Calcedonio glass, to resemble the Chalcedony stone in the variations of multicolor tones in white, yellow, brown-red, blue, green, black... This extraordinary chemical process, dating from the 15th century was once lost and then rediscovered to be perfected mixing the glass with silver salts and colored minerals, making these creations precious, producing a unique explosion of warm accents and streaks of light and shadows. This piece is exceptionally curated with a wave as a base, a sail in crystal on one half, and in colors on the other to accentuate the organic movement.
