A grouping of three textured ceramic jars with cobalt blue glaze.
Sizes from largest 6.5” tall to smallest at 5” tall.
Sold as a group.
Machiko Hashimoto was born in Kyoto in 1986. She finished her studies in 2009 at Fine Arts from Kyoto Saga University of Arts and since then he has been working the studio she set up in her hometown. Working in a large range of objects from small daily utility wares to larger scale sculptural forms, her work is easily recognizable as hers not only because of the strong presence of the blue shades that results from the artist choice of using zaffer (gosu, cobalt oxide paint), but also because of the fragile look of the works as they are mostly made of semi-porcelain. - More Information
