Description
Max Bill Mid-Century Modernist marble sculpture "Kubus" 1966, signed, incised and numbered 12/100 on the marble, the geometric shape is iconic for Bill's spherical sculptures representing the artist's interpretations of Constructivism, the simple yet so beautiful sculpture with it's perfect shape shows Bill's mathematical thinking, which is reminiscent from his Bauhaus training, the light colored marble with an attractive grey grain sits on a black ebonized wooden base which is a nice contrast, a very decorative yet intellectual object great for a grand office and stylish design interior.
