A large-scale Italian mauve and deep black coloured art glass in the form of a giant clam shell. The massive shell-form bowl of encased glass has an interior of mauve coloured glass within the black exterior. MURANO glass design, circa 1950. This is a magnificent and perfect condition decorative arts sculpture to display in any interior decor; especially those located in coastal regions and with an interest in nature.
