Pair Chinese Large Crackle Glazed Dragon Vases, 19th Century
-
Description
This is a very large and stunning pair of late 19th century Chinese Crackle Glazed Dragon and Flaming Pearl Vases. The well-sculpted dragons are applied to the body of the vases and are highlighted in a dark-charcoal brown. The side handles are composed of cherry tree branches and flowers. Both vases are in overall very good condition with some rubbing to the raised elements. At some point in time the vases were drilled for electrical fittings. We have elected to leave the vases without electrical fittings, but will electrified if requested by the buyer and for a nominal charge. Every home needs at least one dragon for protection--of course, two are always better than one! These vases would incorporate well into most design themes from period to mid-century.
