Pair Federal Brass Andirons
-
Description
This is a classic pair of American Federal c. 1800 Solid Brass Andirons. The andiron are of classical form but are detailed with an unusual Corinthian Column capitol located just below the the finial; the columns are fluted. Both andirons are vertical and in overall very good condition. The iron log supports have been restored and the brass finial and swivel are no longer present. There is a brass hook in the front of the andirons which would have held a brass rod. We have had the andirons professionally polished and left unlacquered.
