Clairtone Project G2 Rosewood T10 Console Stereo System & Turntable by Al Faux
-
Description
The G2 is the second generation of the Avante Garde Clairtone Project G Console Stereo System originally designed by Peter Munk and David Gilmour. The futuristic design of the G2 was the brainchild of designer Al Faux and was brought to fruition in the mid-1960s giving the system a cleaner more compact appearance.
The system implements the movable sound principle with the more compact 13″ Sound Globes which may be rotated a full 360 degrees to alter the sound aural landscape of the room. The Chassis is the Clairtone solid state T10SH amplifier. The record player is the Garrard Lab 80 auto transcription turntable and the cabinet is Brazilian rosewood.
This example has been completely serviced and works as intended with only a few minor exceptions.
Cosmetically it is in extraordinary museum-grade condition.
You will be hard-pressed to find a better-looking Project G2 system available anywhere on the planet.
Rewired: grounded to frame. Replacements made: Pre-set radio and auto transcription function not operable. Refinished. Repaired: New acrylic top. New Stylus. Wear consistent with age and use. fully restored by an electronic engineer but like any vintage electronic device we make no guarantee of functionality. Might need occasional maintenance.
