Truly rare, this finely decorated antique rectangular casket, German porcelain manufacturer KPM, circa 1870. The KPM brand is engraved on the inside. Made with a finely chiseled bronze mantle that has acquired a beautiful antique patina. Each side of this casket is a true work of art with hand-painted porcelain. On the lid we find an animated scene of the interior of a tavern with many characters, the scene is taken from a painting by the German artist Franz Von Defregger "Ball auf der Alm". Each side is finely hand painted with beautiful Austrian landscapes, under the landscapes an inscription identifies the location.
