On offer for your consideration we have an Art Nouveau Rosenthal figure of a boy talking to a penguin about who gets the crab.
The title of this porcelain is "Brotneid" or Envy of Bread.
This charming figure is one in a series of porcelains designed by Ferdinand Liebermann for Rosenthal in 1910.
Ferdinand Lieberman was from 1909 the most important figure designer in the early days of the Rosenthal department of new works. Many of his designs come from European fairy tales. -
