Description
A handsome rosewood sarcophagus form tea caddy with a raised panel lid and carved beaded border. The lid opens on brass hinges; the interior is lined with a red paper-lining and is supported by carved bun feet; with working lock with key. Overall, the box displays a deep, rich, characteristic patina. English, circa 1860.
