Ormolu and Sèvres-style porcelain three-piece garniture suite
French, Late 19th Century
Vases: height 44cm, width 21cm, depth 16cm
Urn: 38cm, width 33cm, depth 29cm

Attributed to Picard, Henri (French, fl. 1831-1864), and Sèvres porcelain, this beautiful garniture set consists of a central jardinière, and a pair of flanking vase-form lamps. The trio of objects are adorned with similar painted porcelain decoration, on a light-blue, bleu celeste, ground, and mounted with Neoclassical ormolu elements. The scenes, possibly depicting the four seasons, show putti in idyllic landscapes, and are signed 'Seiffert.' The excellent bronzier Henri Picard is known to have collaborated with Sèvres on a number of works, very similar to these, and this beautiful set is likely from the same partnership, making a delightful addition to any interior.
