Staffordshire Pottery spill vase with a pastoral theme which features a cow, stood on an oval base. A thistle grows from under the cow. The piece is titled, 'MILK SOLD HERE'. Russet and white version. Dull gilt title and embellishment. Flatback, decorated only to the front. Book reference ,'Victorian Staffordshire Figures 1835-1875' Book 2, by A.& N.
