This is a beautifully crafted Edwardian/Deco period Sterling Silver Lady's Compact or necessaire. This stunning engraved and monogrammed compact opens to reveal a sterling silver interior with fittings for two different types of coins and a covered powder dispenser on one side and the opposing side fitted with a sterling clasp to hold calling cards and/or folding money. The second side features beautifully engine-turned chasing which is futher detailed with a gold wash. The original sterling chain and clasp are in good condition and ready to go on a lady's wrist for an elegant dinner engagement. This well-crafted necessaire would make a great addition to a personal collection of sterling table articles. Additionally, the necessaire would the perfect unique, useful and chic gift.
