Description
Himalayan Quartz on Cast Glass
Himalayan Quartz on Cast Glass is as dramatic as the remote mountains where this stunning quartz is found. The flowing ruby red base demands attention while subtly carrying the clear crystal points of this exceptional quartz specimen. Large milky white points rise from the glass in homage to the rising Himalayan mountains. Clear double terminated points extend in multiple directions almost as snow blankets the mountain peaks. The contrast between the red glass and crystal points makes this a visual treat.
Quartz crystals are found on every continent on Earth, but it is those mined by hand from the vast Himalayan mountain range that contain the highest of spiritual powers. In Hinduism, Mount Meru is the center of the physical, metaphysical, and spiritual universes and the home of deities Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. Its earthly counterpart, Meru Peak, is equally revered, and nearly impossible to scale. Beneath the craggy peaks, quartz crystals have been steeped in the mystical power of Mount Meru for millions of years. Miners carry them out in packs, wrapped in layers of fabric to protect the clusters from damage. Unlike their rock crystal counterparts, these clear stones are not to be programmed with personal intentions—they are to provide the purest form of enlightenment. Use Himalayan quartz in meditation and heed its guiding wisdom.
