Description
This is a tether car model of a 1950's Mercedes streamlined W 196 Race Car. This model was commissioned built for Henri Chemin a French ex-race car driver, automobile company executive & a prolific collector of model race cars. This car is one of only two know, it has a hand carved wood body, diesel powered engine & aluminum chassis. It is in excellent condition, showing no racing use or damage. It measures 16" long. These cars can run at very high speeds & should be started up only in a safe environment by an experienced operator. If you do not wish to run this car it is perfect as a decorative sculpture for the home or office.
