New York City. Attributed to the Shop of Samuel Robb. Carved and polychrome paint decorated white pine. Circa 1880. Measures: 56"H on its original base.
This exceptional carving with a beautiful face, outstretched arm and forward leaning pose places it in the more sculptural pieces in Samuels Robb's body of work. It retains a colorful historic painted surface. -
