Interesting Very Fine Chip Carved Oak Frisian Dutch mangle Board 17/18th Century.
The Mangle board is in wonderful original good used condition with beautiful original old patination.
very interesting at the back of this board you can see engraved roundels in a four pass for a design of another mangling board, ( see photo's)
71cm high 13cm wide 2cm deep
To your information: these type of mangling boards where made by men to give it to their women they loved and in most of the cases it was given by a marriage, in the Netherlands this was a tradition. -
