Unique large ceramic sculpture by Atelier Victor Cerrato , blue glazed ceramic
The sculptor and ceramist Victor (Vittorio) Cerrato, born in Cunico d'Asti in 1917, opened a ceramic workshop in the Valentino locality in Turin in the years after the Second World War. In 1950 invited to the Italian Handicraft Exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum in New York, he exhibited a sculpture depicting a bust of a woman. In the "Cerrato Ceramiche" laboratory he creates unique pieces such as garden statues and fireplace coverings in glazed majolica and furnishing and use ceramics in small series. The ceramic sculptor Franco Garelli occasionally collaborates with the laboratory. Victor Cerrato died in Turin in 2008.
