Description
Victorian papier mache backgammon and chess or checkers games board box disguised as a double book volume. The squares for the game pieces on the exterior of the box are inlaid with mother of pearl and gilding. The spine is also decorated with gilded designs. The box is hinged and opens to reveal a backgammon board colored with red and green and gilding.
