An antique Persian Serapi carpet. Of particularly desirable Serapi quality, this antique Heriz from NW Persia has a lozenge-form Herati filled medallion with especially dynamic palmette and cloud band pendants. The plain ivory subfield is placed on a Herati-decorated ground en suite with the medallion. Reversing turtle palmettes and bitonal leaves ornament the main border.
