This antique handwoven Amritsar rug features a shaded sea-blue field with a dense ivory, fox-brown and buff-brown floral and palmette vine around a central ivory cusped medallion containing a central flowerhead issuing angular vine with a palmettes, the buff-brown spandrels similar, in an ivory border of linked buff-brown part-palmettes between sandy-yellow and fox-brown floral vine stripes, plain outer sea-blue stripe.
