This antique Ziegler Sultanabad rug has a red field with a flowering vase and bold palmettes at each end with vertical rows at each side of bold polychrome palmettes linked by dense polychrome floral and leafy vine, in a broad indigo-blue border of polychrome shield palmettes alternating with a floral arrangement and linked by a meandering floral and leafy vine between sandy-yellow and lime-green floral vine and Y-pattern stripes.
